3dfx could do a customised voodoo4 to tempt people away from other makes. All it is is a normal graphics card (be it a g400, tnt2, whatever) but the drivers are SO crippled that it only runs in 256 colours and has a max of 100 polygons on screen. But runs at 4000 fps, in any game
