    G400 - recommended hardware

    Hi.

Can anybody advice me on recommended hardware (minimal and optimal) for use with the G400.

    thanx in advance.

There's no real minimum and there's no optimal config either. It depends on your expectations/requirements. In general you'll be fine on a P2 400 or better with 128MB RAM or more.

My P2 450ish is running circles around most of the P3 560+ rigs around, so it's a matter of configuration too.

Ok, so you think I'm ok with a cel 300A + 64mb ram + WD Caviar Expert?

Maybe a good performance gain with additional 64 mb ram?

It will work... I tried 333 myself, it's not fast but it's still quite a bit faster than a G200 or TNT.
But unless you have/can get the 300A running at 450, I'd sooner advise you to upgrade CPU and memory than to get a G400.
