Kruzin mentioned That the Matrox utility s changing a hardware register and I know G400Tweak is changing the registry settings... how do I know for sure VSync is off ???
There should be other utilities, but I use Tirtanium. Click in 3DInfo D3D/OpenGL and it will tell if V-Synch is on or off (for d3d and ogl, depending what you slect)
The registry entry is:
