It looks great, but doesn't all that ribbon change the resistance values? Or are they compensated for?

High quality ribbon has little affect on the resistance values. The SMD resistors probably have more error than what you are going introduce with ribbon cable. I also don't think that the resistances have to be exact, anyhow.
