    Glad it worked for you, Paul.

    Sorry, forgot to tell you about a tool you might have needed to cut the screws to length. It looks like this..



    ..only the handles are blue and it has little holes in the neck of it to accept several sizes of screws/bolts for trimming.. works for steel or nylon screws and bolts.

      Ok, hardware mavens.
      I used to leave all but one of my MB screws loose (no jokes please) to prevent thermal expantion stress on the PCB. What do you think?

      btw To test for ground problems -> remove the screws, cut a piece of paper-sack to fit, and slide it under your MB.
