    agp 'fast writes' = ??

    i've heard this question asked a few times and i'm sure i used to know the answer. is it the ability of the system ram to write directly to the video ram (or vice versa) w/o any processor intervention?

    and yes, just to make sure, i'm asking this in general hardware too.
