    About G400 temperature ...?

I have set a probe in the heatsink and it
shows 60 C. Is it normal?

    regards

PD: Its a 32DH (not MAX)

I have a MAX, so the temps are going to be differant. However, I don't think mine is that warm, since to touch it only feels warm and not hot. I also put some thermal paste inbetween the sink and the chip instead of the tape that they use for the MAX. Don't know about the normal heatsink though, i fit is taped or thermally glued. Throw a cheap 486 fan on it and you'll be set.

First, a very early G400 = it ran VERY hot.
Now a, 3 Week old G4oo MAX = not as hot as the old G400.
      Strange but good.

I also have a probe in my g400 dh heatsink, and it registers only 36 C. But I've also set up my system with a case fan blowing directly on the g400 heatsink. 60 C. sounds a bit high to me though, because my PIII core is only reading 50 C.

My MAX is cool to the touch, but i replaced the stock heatsink/fan combo with a MinI-Lasagna heatsink/fan combo. I also have very good airflow in the case.
