Brightness problems with G400 Dualhead tv-out

Friend's got a G400 Max Dualhead and when a DVD is output to a TV using DVD-Max and the Matrox DVD player the brightness goes up and down every 10-15 seconds. Anyone else had this problem and know a fix? I'm pretty sure he's got the latest drivers.

Sounds like <A HREF="http://www.macrovision.com">Macrovision</A> copy protection. Connect your TV out directly to your TV instead of going through your VCR, and the problm will go away.

If for some reason you must go through your VCR (for recording purposes or whatever), you'll need to invest in a <A HREF="http://www.cameraworld.com/adtemplate.asp?invky=73784">"stabilizer" or "clarifier"</A> box that removes the Macrovision copy protection.
