Since I didn't see anybody else ask, are you running Win2k final? Like, build 2195 (correct me if I'm wrong, please)?

If you're running a release candidate, then you'll need to upgrade to final release.

Thought I'd ask just in case.

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? But why put off until tomorrow what you can put off altogether?

Yes Omar, I believe a reinstall is in order. Just make sure you enable ACPI in bios. Then after Win2K (assuming it's the final version) installs, make sure you have Administrative Privaledges, and install the latest video drivers (version 5.03). The G400 should then function properly.

As to changing the "mainboard", I'm not familiar with your QDI. I don't even know what form factor it is, so I can't make any suggestions. I simply know that my current mainboard has a VIA chipset. My G400 functions "almost perfectly" (it could be faster! and I wish I had better choices for refresh rates) in Windows 2000.

Hi Omar, glad to hear that.
At least my e-mails to you have not been useless after all. Remember though, the more people know about your machine AND the software you are having problems with, the better advice can be given. I totally agree with spoogenet. Anyways...

            Ciao, Alegria
