Where can I download DVD Max ?

I have 400 MAX and Win2K. Where can I get hold of the DVD software from Matrox and will it work OK in Win2K ?

It came on your drivers disc with your G400, but if you don't have the disc and if you are a registered G400 owner I am sure matrox will send you another one.

Umm ... the dvd player uses the cinemaster engine and I don't think it has been updated for 2000 yet. But, reading on the forums, some people use it with no problem. I haven't tried, so I don't know, but I know WinDVD makes a 2000 player that is suppose to be good.

    Hope this helps.

Also, WinDVD will be bundled with the G450, so they must think it's ok. Plenty of websites have evaluation copies if you want to try it out.

The CD supplied with my card was faulty (unreadable) and Matrox support (UK) would only send me a new CD if I returned the whole package complete to them (at my expense) with an anticipated turn-round of a few weeks.

I remember downloading it before from some site but I lost the file before I upgraded to Win2K.

                    Hi!

I once saw it at www.dvdutils.com but i do not know if it is still there...(it is now renamed to I do not know what... there will be a redirection).

Anyway there are many others to download. In my machine the Matrox's player won't install (w2k) and to be honest I have not even tried to solve the problem. If you can find a copy of PowerDVD it is one of the best out there (although the movement is a bit choppy on my machine... but i believe it is a configuration problem (i temporarily have a geforce and the video is MUCH WORSE now).

                    cya!
