K6 aint too good Maybe try a duron or celeron if you want to save £s (or $s, whatever ) I hears they are v. good.

I second for Smiff. The latest and future games will put more stress on the FPU, and the K6-x series just don't seem to keep up with that. Don't lie your hope into special SIMD instructions such as 3DNow! or SSE. There are only a handful of games that really make these SIMD shine. Most of them will simply use whatever optimization available in DirectX. A true high performance pipelined FPU is what you need to get the best performance.
