    Matrox ultima plus

    I have recently aquired a matrox Ultima Plus PCI grpahics card. i have looked on the matrox website but canb't find any technical info on it (well not that i can see!)

    Does anyone know of the wareabout of some technical info on the above graphics card or have any that they can supply me with, as i would like to find out about this grpahics card

    well, I know it has either 2 or 4mb of vram on it, but that's about it
    also, I believe it used the mga64 chip?

        Thanks for the help but i have got the drivers for it and i know my card has 4mb of video ram.

        What i would like to know about is it supported resoloutions and refresh rates!!

          Well .. u can use it and know by urself after u install the driver ?

            That card is almost 7 years old! I wouldn't expect higher than 1280x1024 and very poor (if any) windows 95,98 support unless you use the scitech driver which may help you.

              I know it is almost 7 years old it was made in 1993.
              I will show my ignorance again by asking what you mean by the scitech drivers?
              But i have disovered that it is supported by win95 (well basic drivers are included with win 95), not that i am using them, i am using the matrox ones!!
              What i would like to know is the maximum refresh rate it supports at 680*480 and 800*600 or higher if anyone knows??
              (it is a full length PCI card if that helps anyone!!)

                SciTech is a little company here in chico that makes video drivers. They make some interesting stuff like win9x drivers (Display Doctor), GLDirect utility and developer libraries. Here is the url...
