    Millenium G200 and Agp 2X

    Hi all,
    I have a i440lx chipset ang Millenium G200. Why I work at 1x? I install AGPSwitch and force 2x but system crush. Can help me?

    Does the old LX set support AGP2X? If so, yes you can force to use AGP2X. But.. WHY?? Really, it's not worth it. Most likely you'll lose some stability, and you won't see any speed increasement.

      Sound Advice. If your system is running well when set at AGP 1X then I would leave it at that.

        I don't believe LX supports AGP 2X transfers.

          LX does support 2X transfers. I used to own one and it worked fine in 2X mode.

            The i440LX does support AGP 2x transfers and it improves speed by a noticable amount when using software that has large textures.

            The reason it is crashing is that your motherboard is no good or you have a conflict with another device in your machine.

            I had a network card that when active would cause lockups with the G200 when it was operating in AGP 2x mode.
