G250?

Anyone know what the Matrox G250 is? There is a memory upgrade listed for it in their Shop@Matrox section.

It's simply a G200 with faster clocks distributed for OEMs.

Afaik, it's a shrunk G200, i.e. the chip itself has gone from 0.35 micron (g200) to 0.25 micron manufacturing process.

I'd always wanted to get one of those, but as Zwisch already mentioned, it was only meant for the OEM market.

It could be that it's more OCable than any other G200, because of its smaller die ...

The newer G200's are also based on the .25 micron die.Since they generate less heat,they don't come with any heatsinks.My G200 is of this stepping As a result,I guess they are more overclockable than the older versions.So the G250 is similar to the G400 Max-same chip but higher clock speeds.
