Firingsquad On Matrox future product
As all the other 3D companies have been slugging it out in the high-end arena, Matrox has quietly moved into the lucrative corporate market on the back of its wildly successful DualHead technology.
Fear not, Matrox isn't abandoning the consumer market just yet; the company simply chose to concentrate on the corporate market in order to garner market share with a full-court press. Matrox assured us that they plan on having a full spectrum of products covering everything from the budget corporate card to a sexy, high-end product.
Matrox, however, made it quite clear (on at least two or three occasions) that they won't be ready to discuss any of these new products until around GDC time. Therefore, we didn't even bother asking about the G800 or Matrox Fusion rumors. We wrapped up the meeting with a demonstration of a couple of Matrox's latest products.
