Most companies derive their max fill rate by the core speed, 2 passes/cycle(err is it 2 pipelines? I forget) x 166 mhz (on a MAX) = 333mtexels/s

IE the geforce is 4 pipelines x 2 passes/cycle x 200mhz = 1600Mtexels/s

Thats max _theoretical_ fill rate of course.
Knock off 5-10% of that for real world maximum performance :P

My number ARE correct; I took them from the default speed of 3 retail cards: a Millennium G400 16 MB DH, a G400 MAX and a retail G450 32 MB DDR DH. If you don't believe me, check the DEFAULT clock speed of you cards. But these numbers are the default numbers; I managed to overclock my G400 16 mb (with nothing else than a medium sized HSF) a core speed of 175 MHz and a MEM speed of 233 MHZ. BTW, for all the guys that brags about their O/C, all G4X0 have a 3/4 Core/Meme ratio (125core/166mem for G400 and G450(166 DDR), 150/200 for G400 MAX). If you guys dont have cards to check by yourselves, just ask Maggi or Ant...

About the Condor 2 (G800), it's the card I'll buy no matter what; nVIDIA's GeForce 3 will debut at an astronomical $600 US( that's near $1000 for us Canadians ( Go Habs Go!!!). However, I may acquire the nVIDIA card based on nVIDIA and 3Dfx technologies, but that's so far in the future. Ati is still plagued with quite buggy drivers (Anyone has played Mercedes Benz Truck Racing with a Radeon??? Unplayable!!!). I just hope that the situation will be resolved with the Radeon 2.
