Fatal Errors in Win2000. All Help appreciated

    Breaks down like this...

    Fresh install of Windows2000 SMP.
    Via 4n1 Drivers.
Install Matrox drivers, crashes on log-in.

Safe-Mode uninstall of the drivers, able to log back in, in vga mode.

Read matrox faq's. Set agp apeture size to 256mb, enabled usb ports.

Now, I get an 'out of scan range' black/no signal screen upon login.

Im sure some of you have already been down this road, I'm not that big of a Matrox Hardware forum regular, so I haven't been around.

    Please Help, Thanks Zyn

Which drivers, Zyn? Did you go back to an older batch of Win2k drivers? Did you even try to install Win2k without SMP and then install the drivers?

Should the aperture size not be set BEFORE you load W2K?

I seem to remember a comment to this effect over on Matrox user forum

Hmm... might be a Windows 2K bug... Even with SP1 installed, there is still a few SMP bugs within Win2K. There is a hotfix for a few of those bugs... I cannot recall the MS Knowledge base numbers for those... Sorry, too busy here getting ready for work to search em out for you.
Also, have you tried 5.04 drivers?? I used to be able to run all the latest drivers in SMP with G400 MAX @ AGP2x. Now all I can run is 5.04 drivers @AGP2x.... :\ Worth a shot IHMO.
