    DVD freezes on tv...

don't know why, but when I try to play a DVD now (used to work fine) the picture freezes on the tv screen but continues to run on the monitor, then if I try to do something to fix it, the computer locks up!?!

    Any thoughts would be appreciated

Using the included DVDMax from Matrox and 6.21

            Hi Jim,

did you also try to set it into Clone mode, while having DVD Max enabled, i.e. both options on at the same time ?

            Cheers,
            Maggi

I'm back from Cabo San Lucas on the the Baja Peninsula, spent a week there and had an amazing time!

With pd 6.10 and 6.21 I had problems with dvd-playback, every couple of minutes the image on the tv would stutter, so I have reverted to the imho best drivers for dvd-playback pd 5.52, image quality is superb and it is 100% smooth!

I havent encountered your problem Jim, but it seems as if a lot of people are having problems using the latest pd for dvd.

Nope, very strange, I may have to pop it out and inspect the heatsink(s) as someone stated that this happened when their chip overheated

any other thoughts would be appreciated

Got the updated version of Matrox DVD this week!

After uninstalling the old and replacing with the new, I have a working DVD again! WOOHOO!
Must have been something funky with the old install
