Long Term effects of overclocking G400

It depends on how far u wanna go.
Reasonable OverClock may shorten the card life but i don't know if U'll live 2 C it.
Extreme OverClock may make a noticeable damage, although i didn't heard of a Matrox card damaged, still.

My G400MAX is reasonably OverClocked 4 the past year & half, with out any truble.

Either overclock the heck out of it to get everything possible and about half the speed of a new chip. If it dies it'll be a better reason to get something modern.

Either that or don't overclock at all (maybe even underclock a little) to make sure it'll last the 5 years before Matrox comes out with something new or Matrox Users realize nothing new is really coming. :-)
