G450 - 16mb vs 32mb?

I looked all over and even downloaded the G450 manual, but I couldn't really find the exact specs on the difference between the 16 and 32mb versions of the G450.

I'm assuming it's just like my old Millennium II where the more memory just gives you more color and faster refresh at higher resolutions?

If so... will the 16mb version suffice for someone that's on the budget and would rather spend more money on a nicer 19" monitor (IBM P96) and not planning on doing any Dualhead?
