    G450 lx for £34

This is the 1st time i've noticed this so no flames.

If all you want is hi-quality 2d without dual-head then matrox have the G450 lx for £34. The 2nd head can be enabled by buying a software pack for £17.

Who wants to bet that changing the PINS in the BIOS will change it into a full G450. I cant see what else they could change to disable the second head, but leave the ability to re-enable it.

Could be a cheap G450 for anybody who might want one.

Yup, and I am also wondering how matrox disables the sceondary head on the card. May this software probably be a BIOS patch to enable the secondary head?

Most certainly. The "special software" must be a costumzed version of Matrox Windows bios flasher that enables dual-head.
