DVI: G550 or G400+FlatPanel Module?

Hello,
I have a G400 DH 32MB and a Philips LCD (150p2) with DVI input.
I'd like to use the LCD DVI input.
I know Matrox released a DVI module for G400 series, but I'm wonderinf if G550, with DVI already built in, was better or not?
Is there anybody here using the DVI with G400, or someone who tested DVI output of the new G500?

Just another thing... On the market there is Radeon VE with DVI output at a low price, is this card a good one or not?

The G550 comes with a DVI-I connector I believe (I'll check on it when I get home...)
