DVDMax VS WinDVD VS PowerDVD VS Cinemaster

Dear Friends,

Which one is the best DVD Player (best video and
audio quality), among these 4 players :
DVDMax; WinDVD; PowerDVD; Cinemaster ?

Your advices are very much appreciated.

DVDMAX is a function of your Matrox video card.. it in no way has to do anything with decoding MPEG2 streams as found on DVDs.

I prefer WinDVD, since it has the widest content compatibility, and works fine with DVDMAX, and I like the interface.

WinDVD here too, DTS decoding, and it keeps the sound going at .5, 1, 1.5 and 2x speeds.

WindDVD has completely ruined some W2K systems (including mine), therefore I switched to PowerDVD.
If Cinemaster wasn't so picky about titles, I'd used it instead.

One of friend of mine said that WinDVD is the only
DVD Player which can support DTS decoding, so
WinDVD has the best sound quality among DVD
Players. Is that right ?

How about PowerDVD or Cinemaster, can they support
DTS decoding too ?

I was told PowerDVD 3.0 has the best sound support, but I don't know much about it. I use Windows Media Player to watch DVDs.

I thought none of the Windows versions comes with MPEG2 decoders included... Which OS do You use?

Windows XP. I think all the decoding is centered around my ATI drivers though. Not sure about that though.

In my experiences with WinDVD, its DTS feature
improves the sound quality significantly,
especially in DTS encoded movies.
Gladiator or Saving Private Ryan, has much more
wider audio ambience in DTS mode than in
convensional Dolby Digital.

I was told that DVD Genie 4.05 can reveal
the DTS feature in PowerDVD 3.0.
Have you ever heard about this ?

I use a reciever connected to my GTXP with Optical. It handled the DD and DTS duties. I have been very content with PowerDVD 3.0905 patched from the 3.0 that came with the GTXP.
