    G400, no AGP 2X w/ PD572 (winXP)

    My G400 DH refuses to enter AGP 2X mode when i install PD. I use winXP and when i remove PD, AGP is at 2X but when i install PD, AGP is locked to 1X. Whatever i have tried, didn't help. Any info?

    M/B : abit bh6
    CPU : p3 @ 450MHz (not o/c)
    VGA : matrox g400 dh,32mb (not o/c)
    PD : 5.72
    OS : winXP

      Dont worry about it. The difference between 1X and 2X is marginal at best, esp. with Matrox cards.

          I wish i had that that problem, no matter what i do my AGP is locked at x2. And my G400 has trouble runing at x2, I had no choice but to revers back to win 98

              Kastuvas, when i was running PD 5.33 on my Win2k setup AGP would default to 1X. After i installed 5.52 it defaulted to 2X. Have you tried the 5.33 drivers?

                  omegaRed I would if I had Win2K but im using Win XP and 5.52 are the only drivers that are available for Win XP.

                      Ummmm ... its omegaRED, but never mind. So the 5.33 Win2k drivers wont work with XP eh? ... too bad ...
