Win. 2000 Issue with Win. 2000

I took my Marvel G200-TV out of a system with Win. XP and placed it into one with Win. 2000 and experienced some difficulty. Every once in a while the screen suddenly becomes full of pixels and freezes. I used the latest display drivers from the Matrox site and I recall at one point in the installation process seeing a window warning me that it might not work properly. When I opened the TV software it advised me to change it to 16 bit colour which I did but it's still freezing on me.

Is this a common problem when using the G200-TV with Win. 2000? How can it be corrected? Could it be a refresh rate issue? The computer is not at my place so unfortunately I don't know what the refresh rate is as I type.

    Thanks!
