As you probably know, there have been several obscure remarks on the hardware sites about a upcoming event on the graphics market (hopefully Parhelia).
Anandtech could be hinting that something's on the way. Anand's going to San Francisco to "meet with a company we haven't heard much from in a while" for something special. See http://www.anandtech.com/news/shownews.html?i=3410&t=sn
