Dude, I don't think anyone can give you a sensible answer to those questions, yet. Since it's not officially announced yet (hopefully it will), no official specs are out yet...

Keep on waiting and hoping, just like the rest of us.

nVidia did it and now ATi are doing it but Matrox decided not to.

            well, I think it is...
for example, Pyramid3D tech's owner is still secret, and so is the tech of forgotten super chip from Rendition (Verite 4400 and 3300 models) as also SLI version of Voodoo Graphics, etc.

there is a lot of mysteries in graphics cards history.

                Is't it wonderfull?

Whatever Grebee actualy Knows something about next gen Matrox HW he has himself claimed that he is under NDA!! and therfor no valuable info will come from him!

So he can have fun at hinting things and if we want prof he just says thre sylables:

                N D A

On the other hand He can't prove anything either because of those thre letters.....

So Grebee has all the fun!

If he knows, then He IS a lucky bastard and if he doesent he still winns becase we can't prove that he is waggin the dog.....

                Is't it wonderfull?

Off the top of my head I know around 2 dozen people who know... but big flyin whOOpie!

The question was asked, an answer was given and you have a problem with that. It's not so much that you've rejected my answer as questionable, but that I would know anything for that matter.

                  What's your problem dude?

                    oh hey
so "fusion" was to be an integrated graphics chipset?
only I thought ATI did that first, albeit without much success the first time around?

AFAIK, Rendition belongs to Micron, for some time now. As former user of their card, Rendition is #2 for me - if they ship somethig before matrox, i go for it...

                            Ok sorry.
I was just guessing. I thought that Nvidia's patent on unified driver architecture meant they were the first ones to do it.

Well with this "last hint" there's not much left except an integrated chipset (would also fit the "Fusion" name quite well).
Anyway, this is past - and in the case of Fusion simply being an Intel chipset with integrated Matrox gfx-core, I'm quite happy that it didn't get finished and consume more of Matrox' apparently a bit sparse resources....

I know that, but they never showed cards 4400 and 3300 otherwise than in closed doors. Both had eDRAM. Otherwise whole chip specs are unknown and will be so.

afaik, Micron has no plans to wake up Rendition division. they have been working with eDRAM based Intel chipset, but they losed lisence before chipset get ready so it went to the drain too.

Boys at Rendition must pretty much like boys at Bitboys feel. last 2-3 years have gone for nothing and mostly not because of their own problems.
