    Gigacolor on TFT's

I'm still ask myself wheter you'll see something of the Gigacolor feature on (todays) TFTs.
When I understand the TFT-thing right, the analog input will be digitalised and then the "controller" of the certain pixel will get how much he will dim the light.
So what i want to say is, the 10Bit are lost in the digital->analog->digital->pixel controller chain or?
Indepandent of the above, can you send 10bit via DVI?

AFAIK you can send 10bit via DVI without any problem, but getting a TFT screen to output 10bit is a different story...

TFT's are currently limited to 6bit colours
