Only if you use more than one monitor at once.
Otherwise you're wasting your money on features you won't be using.

I am not using more then one monitor ..

Perhaps if you count the TV which I might occasionally use?

Then keep it a while longer and get a Radeon 9000 Pro later.
I'm keeping my G400 for the same reason & waiting for prices to drop.

With a strong infrastructure (CPU - MEM) your G400 can give little more than you'd expect.

Amen - my G400Max performs quite well with my new Athlon XP 1700+. DVD playing, browsing, coding, everything in 2D is smooth. Dungeon Siege and GTA3 play fairly well on the card, but I would certainly like to use something higher than 800x600 and there's no AA...

How good does GTA3 look on the G400 ?
Does it look as good as on the PS2 ?

GTA3 looks fine... it's just not playable for sheit on the G400/450/550... on Parhelia it runs great.

                              What fps should I expect with an Athlon 1800, 1GB (333Mhz) ram and a G400 ?
