G400 Flat Panel (DVI) add-on, worth it?

I have a G400 MAX and I recently bought a new flat panel which has DVI out. I'm wondering if this add-on is any good. Does it have any drawbacks as opposed to a straight DVI capable board (G550)? It's $60 at the matrox store. I'd like to keep my g400max but would also like to use the monitor via DVI.

We have a couple of those at work, and they work well. max of 1280x1024, but most people don't have flay panels that do higher than that.

thanx, that's the native on my lcd also, 1280 x 1024 and seeing as how I paid $900 for it, I don't think i'll be changing it any time soon. i think i'll invest in the add-on.
