    What company should by Matrox

I don't know how to start a poll, but wouldn't it be cool if someone could start a poll asking which company should buy Matrox (ATI or nVidia).

I mean since Matrox is supposedly in bad shape.

I would miss FAA for sure if Matrox closes down.

So if they have to sell their intelectual properties, Who would be the better owner?

I love Matrox, but what if?

I said it before: the Xabre series would seem to complement the Parhelia really well - to provide a nice lineup over all price ranges.

        intel!

They have high quality standards, experience in chip design, own production plants and have enough money to push the R&D. Together they could "strike" with integrated graphics for office desktops and notebooks for example, and also use their excellent marketing to conquer (?) the important markets.

Intel is not quality in my eyes anymore. There has been a few products released with known bugs.
I should have bought an ATI.

              Trident, SIS, and Imation Technologies/PowerVR

PowerVR could just have Matrox make a Series5 card.....

Okay i m going for a more "positive approch" for Matrox...

SGI would be ncie but then we cannot afford matrox cards anymore.

Creative should be interesting too... 3dlabs and matrox together would be amazing... 3dlabs can acquire matrox's surrounddesign and DX technologies, while matrox can gain GL 2.0 and the virtual cache thingy... that way creative will definitely be competitive in the gfx market... besides creative can learn from matrox what good drivers mean... hehe

PowerVR would be interesting to see... tile based rendering and such...

Something about SiS/Trident really bothers me

Microsoft: yea... i bet... someday they will dominate the cat food market
