Soupy: I don't think MURCers really want to attack Matrox like Dogbert said. We are just upset and dissapointed about Matrox' policy lately regarding a few things.

No, 5th Amendment rights - to stay silent I think (but USers will have to correct me here...).

Right to stay silent because you will incriminate yourself.

                    5th Amendment:
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Just a small point, but where did Tempest suggest it did?

Since I, too, reacted after Tempest's post :

Tempest did not. I think Indiana reacted to 3dfx's post. Which did not actually state that RAMDAC was the only factor ; only that the difference in IQ could come from the RAMDAC's speed. (Though not in so many words. Maybe a little misunderstanding here ?)

Indiana, I think, and I, for sure, were only reminding people that the RAMDAC is not the only factor in image quality, by far.

Yeah, don't tell us - tell Anand. Every review of a graphics card he tells us how new 5GHz RAMDACs make for ultrasharp output.

S'pose it might even be Matrox to blame - back in the G400 days I recall they bummed up their UltraSharp 360MHz RAMDAC - people might just have confused the 2 from back then. Or maybe earlier
