G400 vs G550 for 2d / text

I was really fed up with the blurry text output from a MSI GeForce 4200ti on my CTX 19" Trinitron so I decided to "borrow" my sons G400 and give him the GeForce.

WOW I am so impressed with the G400! Can anyone tell me if the 2d image from the G550 is even better than the G400?

It sure did! Would there be any noticeable improvement if I changed it for a G550?

not very noticeable AFAIK. no point though if you ask me because they still cost a lot.

My G400MAX actually looks better in 2D than the G550s I've seen.

i doubt there'll be a discernible difference.

i'm using the g400max and is extremely reluctant to part with it for anything else! i wish i can have the same level of commitment for my wife!!! lol

Some ppl actually said that G400 Max has better output quality. But... I really wonder how you can see the difference. Besides G550 scored hiighest in this output quality test, which was mentioned a few times in this forum. If you want to see the test (which is in a different language i think) just use the search engine in MURC!
