did anyone catch the ICRONTIC article before their site was hacked? they reviewed the P750 acording to matrox, but apperently their site was hacked and they have no back up. I'de like to hear some real world experiences. In the end i'm sure i'll get the P650 as it fits my needs perfectly, i was gonna get the G550. I don't care about gaming 1% because i just want the card for 2d and dual head for our churches projector system.

Hey a little OT, we are running the VGA cable like 100 feet, do you guys know what the best way to do this and maintain visual quality to the projector is?

Aww c'mon - cables are so over-hyped. Don't buy they cheap thin stuff, but it doesn't have to be gold plated 1000% oxygen free hand-brushed copper with kevlar shielding made of happy pans.

The MMS series have, AFAIK, built-in compensations for longer cables (higher signal levels). They're expensive though.

How about just moving the PC closer to the projector? You could remote access it via the network if you'd need to be in another room.

Saw the icrontic forums review. The P750 card is around the same speed as a Xabre400, and the 2D is excellent, making it a good workstation card. Perhaps with driver updates the P750 will make it pass the Xabre400.

It seems that Matrox only let Icrontic do the review on the P-Series, can anyone clarify this for me?

Every other reviewer just link to the icrontic site when they mention P750/650... Would be good to get different viewpoints, hope there will be more reviews on the P-series as that will make people sit up and notice (not in a gaming card sense of course)

My impression of icrontic was that they actually took their time not only to review the card, but also to examine what features the target audience could use in their daily work. I doubt alot of sites would do this...

yes, also planning on a bench comparison (both 2d and 3d) with it, a Parhelia and a g550. As most people here looking at one are thinking about an upgrade from a G series card.
