    Quality of DVDs on Parahelia

    Hi,

Currently I have a G400 MAX w/ RRG under XP. I was thinking about getting a new card, like say, one of the Parahelia(s). But I was wondering, how is the DVD quality? Is it comparable to the ATI cards? Also, I use my RRG mainly for the TV tuner. Would it still work (TV tuner only) with the new parahelia?

    Thanks,

I have had no complaints about the DVD on my Parhelia, but I have not used it on a TV. With DVDMax to a CRT monitor, the quality is great.
Your RR-G cannot be used with any of the P series cards in any way. RR-G only works with earlier G series cards (G100/G200/G400, not G450/G550, no P cards).

Parhelia is better than ATI for Home Theater PC use (according to to some testers on AVSFORUM).

I'm very satisfied with my DVD playback quality, and I can compare mine to someone elses ATI 7500 and 9700Pro at an upcoming LAN party.
