    G400MAX vs. Savage/IX

    Which offers better 3D performance, the G400MAX or a S3 Savage/IX-based card?

    Both are DX6 controllers. The Max has more memory, but I'm wondering about raw performance.

      I don't really know, but my money's on the G400.

          g400max easily, it was the fastest at the time(for about 2 weeks), and the performance did scale quite a bit for faster CPU...but aparently the savage did have nifty texture compression
