About to replace G550 with P650. What should I do?

I would like a pain free installation so what tips do you have?
Should I use the Matrox tool to remove the old drivers and Powerdesk first, or should I uninstall from Windows control panel or simply slap the new one in?
Is it wise to upgrade to the latest P seies BIOS rught away? I heartd thatthere were some problems with the early P BIOS. Any info greatly appreciated.
    Xeon box running XP pro
    Thanks

Go to the "add/remove programs", uninstall all Matrox software, and now don't reboot but simply turn computer off, take G550 out and slap P650 in
