NBA Live 2000 demo not working with G400.

    Hi,

I downloaded the NBA Live 2000 demo and could not get it to work with the G400 Max. The NBA Live 2000 demo comes with a Direct3d batch file that crashes before the game loads up. There is a main exe file that crashes the same way. Has anybody successfully gotten this demo to work on their G400? I am using the latest drivers.

    Thanks,

    Sean

    Hi,

Update: Electronic Arts has reportely pulled the demo. No Explanation given. There were many complaints sent to various webmasters about the demo not working or crashing. Go figure.

    Thanks,

    Sean

Sean, thanks for the info. I too was not able to run the demo with my G200 using the latest Powerdesk 5.25 drivers. I was kinda skeptical to begin with when I didn't see any mention of the demo on the easports.com site. If I had read your post earlier, I probably could have saved myself an hour trying to reboot my 98SE in an attempt to get the demo working in D3D, software mode...

I had a similar problem but than I saw read-only mode was activated for the files. I swichted it off and everything works fine!

This is a great game but I think I need a memory upgrade for my Marvel... 8 MB is not enough to run it smoothly!

Yeah, Avault offers a temporary fix on their website for NBA Live 2000 where the download link is located. Electronic Arts is supposed to release an updated demo.

          Thanks,

          Sean
