    Q3A Final hangs on G400

OK, I posted this problem awhile back and while I never completly fixed it, it didn't happen as much. I got Q3A on Friday, and it worked great until Sunday/Monday. Now it crashes non stop. I thought that it may be a 5.30/5.41 driver mix up problem so I even went as far as formating and reinstalling Win98. When I formatted I even took out my Sound Card just to be on the safe side. Loaded up Q3A to do some timedemos.. and what does it do? Frame freezes. Have to reboot. I am really tempted to go out and buy a new video card, even though I really want to keep this damn Dual Head. System specs:

    P3 450
    Asus P3B-F (newest drivers/firmware)
    SBLive Value! (3.0)
128 megs of SDRAM (Non PC100)

Hope you can help.. if not I guess I'll fork out some more cash to this messed up world..

Have you tried changing from AGP 2x to AGP 1x. I also had the freeze problem until I changed to 1x, then worked like a charm and rock solid. Also 1x vs. 2x makes very little difference in performance.

Thanks a ton Mick, I just switched the thing to 1x and it seems to be working.. for now atleast. We will see if this actually fixed it or if Q3/G400 are just being lucky today..
