    a question i really wanted to ask

    but i do feel stupid asking it..how do i know how much fps i get w/ quake/halflife/unreal ect....is there a program or something i have to turn on to see how much fps im getting? Well for revolt there is a switch..but w/ these ones and a lot of others there seems to be no switch or button..

    for q3...go to the console by pressing ` and then type timedemo 1...after you have done that go back to the menu...click demos...then click play...your fps will show up in your console after finishing the test

      Or simply edit the cfg file in your Q3\demoq3
      directory and set the option DrawFPS (i think it's called so) to 1.

        for q3arena it is cg_drawFPS 1.
