Best way to disable V-Sync for Max?

What is the best way to disable V-Sync for my Max? In doing time demos in Q3A there is an option within the game, Should I try to use the matrox tweak to flip on V-blank(or off!) or the pdhacks, or edit the registry? thanks!

Use the Matrox Tweak utility, it will disable vsync for both D3D and opengl at the same time.
