    Thief 2 Demo: bad problems

Just a warning to anyone who's thinking about downloading the 136MB demo of Thief II: it seems to have the same problems everyone's having with System Shock 2, as they are built on pretty much the same engine. I couldn't get it to run, even in software mode. Seems the solution is to use an older version of PowerDesk, but I haven't tried that yet (and probably won't). If somebody gets it to run, I'd sure like to hear about it. BTW, I have a vanilla G400.

It should work fine with the 5.30 drivers.

It seems that every game based on The Dark Engine is not working with PD5.41, thief 1 doesn't work in 3D either but works well with 5.30.

I can second what Evil-kirk said, there are heavy problems with runnign this demo.
Software mode for me is totaly unplayable, and when i try to play hardware accelerated mode, on each hardware resolution i get msg that game failed to set that resolution, though i can play it with heavy graphic anomalies.(g400max, 5.41 PD)
