Where to find DirectX 6.1a

Does it matter whether I install DirectX 5.0 or 5.2 version.

The size of the DirectX 5.0 version seems to be bigger than the 5.2

AFAIK it doesn't matter (but the 5.2 is more up-to-date and bugfixed). As I am from germany I used the german directx 5.2 (size approx. the same) and DirectSound and -Input also worked with this version.


BTW-Windows SE installs DirectX 6.2, not 6.1a.
