hexen 2,changing resolutions

does anyone know how to change screen resolutions in hexen2.
ive tried to alter them in the video screen but they wont move off 640x480x16.
can someone help me get it to 1600x1200,please!!!

Hexen2 is based in Quake1 engine and you can´t change resolutions on the fly.

You need to create a .bat file like:

glhexen2 -width 800 -wheigth 600

I´m assuming the executable is named glhexen2.exe, I don´t have H2 installed anymore. If it isn´t, change the name acordingly.

Other settings you can add: -window (runs in windowed mode) and -bpp 32 (runs in 32 bit color)

right then,how do you make a bat file?

Create it with notepad. Open notepad, write the command line and save it in your hexen2 as a file like h2.bat, for instance.

If you're starting it from the Windows desktop, I use shortcuts. It works well for HL too, so that I always remember to turn off the intro.
