I have played out side of the MURC and immediately get accused of cheating for some reason. Whatever, you guys are more fun to play against then a bunch of 5 year olds that whine alot about getting fragged

Nice game (11am japan time ) ...mgi is a great server..but when i use my other computer(w/ a tnt2 card i get pings on the 1000?) i sometimes wonder if it really checks for a matrox card , lol....


btw. i login as Inyourface[kos] ..I just got UT a few months ago so go..cool on me.. ohh yeah is there a MGI clan?? lets make one, huh? ill quit my current clan( because they practice..from 12pm-3am..wtf ill die doing that)

hey Xippo i hate relics too...how bout making a vote on removing it? or is there anyway to remove just that exploding skull?

I too would like to add my comments.... RUN!!! lol. The MGI server is the greatest not only because the people are so damn good (Dr. Carnage and others!!!), but also I think because we all sort of know each other to a certain degree which makes it more fun. Anyway, Xippo, I've been practicing a bit myself with that air hammer thing and I think I could take you now (like that killing spree I got that one night with the gun??? ). hehe. Now that I'm gettin old though, I don't know if I can hang with you "big guns...." I think I need those UT wheel chairs (or whatever it was that paul uses... ). lol. Thanks for all the good games.

I miss out on so much. Why is it that there's never anybody on the server whenever I check in?

Xippo, I didn't realize Gitago (with the little registered 'R' at the end) was the number 1 player! Wow!! I mean, I knew he was good, but I've given him his share of lumps (and took at least as many in return).

BTW- Gitago explained how he managed to get the little registered 'R' into his name, and after he told me, I felt stupid. He edited one of the UT .ini files directly(user.ini, I think). Too easy!!

Maybe some night in the near future I'll catch someone when they're actually online on the server, and let you shoot at me for a bit.

P.S.- Muad'Dib, keep practicing with that impact hammer. I know there's nothing I hate worse than being in a fairly tight area of the map (lots of corners / posts) with someone nearby chasing me with the hammer. I've suicided quite a bit because of people with those. Hehe.

I was on last nite for about an hour - great time but I'm not even in the same league with you guys - unless I can snipe...

I'm Fenster, BTW - 29 kills, 3 deaths on one of the maps where I could snipe. If I couldn't snipe, it was pretty much the opposite - 2 kills and a thousand deaths.

I mostly play TFC but will definately keep looking on the Matrox server for UT games.

I remember Haig, Darth Maul, and Yokomo being on. I think Oboy was on for a while, too. I was Haig's b*tch for most of the evening.

YoKoMo [1]: My friend Millenniumman always gets called a cheater because he usually only uses the hammer. There are some bigtime loosers on other servers. Matrox players are the best.

Ace: Yes Gitago is usually rated #1. I have played him many times before, just I havn't played him one on one. He is a very nice person, I spent 10 minutes talking to him before we played. I look forward to playing you on the MGI server.

My cable modem is acting funny lately, dropping the internet connection often. I won't be playing too much on the MGI server this week, but as soon as it is fixed...

question: when you chase w/ the hammer do you just keep pressing the firebutton till it touches the guy and snaps or do you release it? i always keep the button pressed and just charge ..but i dont always get a hit, actually..i very rarely hit someone w/ it? while i see others kill people when they arent even near the guy? is there a secret? comeon spit it out

and one more thing ..how do i open that door on DM ZETO to get that sheild belt?

and is there a way to use relics on prectice mode?

xippo: That's the same impression I got from gitago when I was playing him-> not only a good player but a nice guy to boot. Maybe he's a MURCer in disguise?

I look forward to playing you on the MGI server sometime soon, too. Up until recently, I haven't had much time outside of clan activities (1 clan split into 2, but one of those appears to be going away). I should have lots more time soon.

I've also had similar problems with my cable modem -> I lost my internet connection, but not the connection to the cable company's servers. At times, it comes and goes like every couple of minutes. I can tell you that that really ruins games.

blades: I had the same problem using the hammer. I can now say for certain that when using the primary fire, it is most definitely the act of releasing the fire button that you want to use to nail the other guy. Charge it while you chase him (watch out for walls or other obstructions, as the hammer goes off when you run into something like that, and YOU take the damage [usually death, too, hehe]). Then release it when you get close enough. It can be a real rush.

Hammer truths:

The impact hammer is one of the best weapons in the game. I use it quite often, especially when you spawn in and you don't have any weapons. The impact hammer is great in some maps where hallways are narrow and corners are tight (ex peak m.). Although I recommend the hammer over the enforcer, you must be good at dodging.

To use the hammer, just press the primary fire and charge that baby up. Never let go of the fire button, the hammer will automatically fire when you touch another person. The hammer will not fire by touching walls etc, only when you hit another person. Be careful, if you do let go of the fire button make sure you are not facing a wall or you will take mondo damage.

xippo@work: Not only are you good with the Air Hammer, but you where throwing that translocator around like mad on that one map (Morpheus). It got to the point that if I just heard it, it gave me COLD chills. LOL

Maybe I should use the Air Hammer, I keep killing myself with the other stuff!

My suspicion is that the Air Hammer really becomes more effective when you move to a cable or DSL connection. When I try to use it (with my dial up connection), I find it's too difficult to keep up with other players most of the time. First they're in front of me, then suddenly they're behind me. Of course, I could be totally wrong and just need more practice.

beezer: Your right. I found that I could get ppl better once I moved off the 56 dialup onto cable. The hammer is not very effective with high pings.

Oboy:
mouse 1: primary fire
mouse 2: move forward
mouse wheel click: hammer
mouse wheel up: flak
mouse wheel down: rocket
mouse 3 (side button): translocator
mouse 4 (side button): throw weapon

In the mouse setup in windows I bound the mouse 3 button to ctrl and mouse 4 button to alt key. In UT I bound the ctrl and alt keys to translocator and throw weapon. For me, this configuration gives me access to my most used weapons/features with a single flip or click. I have my other favorite weapons bound to qwe. Try to get away from next/prev weapon cycles because it takes too long to find your weapon of choice. In UT, I have my mouse sensitivity set to 9.0.

Beezer, your right on about the Dial Up connection. What's even worse for me is that since I moved into our new house I can only connect at 28800 max, mostly it's only 26400.

God I love it when my ping goes to 6000. NOT!!! Paul what can you expect when USWest only gives us tin cans and a string for phones! LOL
