Win2k - Q3 & UT ?

I've recently installed Win2k with Q3 and UT and i've tested Q3 (btw i have a G400 MAX), and when i'm playing i can't put the brightness very HIGH...
is it normal ? In Win98SE i was able to put the brightness very HIGH! In Win2k it seems that the brightness can't change a lot...
And i didn't test UT yet... but i hope it won't do the same thing!


Does anyone else have encounter the same problem ? How to resolve it ?

You can't adjust gamma in q3a in win2k with the current drivers. However, if you set the console variable "r_ignorehwgamma 1", then the screen will be a good deal brighter.

is this a problem in Win2k, or can it be solved in the drivers?

dZeus: I've got a TNT2 and didn't have this problem until very recently and I don't know why is has started. So, I think it's not a Win2000 bug but rather in the drivers.
