    G400 and quake3 problems !?!

First this is my system :

    Amd Athlon 700@820
    Abit Ka7 ( Upgraded bios )
    13,4 GB Hd
    Soundblaster 64 V
    Matrox G400 ( singlehead )

    My problem is :
I have quake 3 in high quality but teksture detail -1.
And with a resolution : 1024, that means for me 25.8 fps
    That slow !!!!!
I have all the new driver tryied but the 5.30 is the best.
But Gldriver doesn't work either whet I let it upgrade my quake3 and I open quake3 I'll
get a white blinking screen with the normal sound.
But does it make any diffrence ??
PLease I want more fps !!!

Try switching to Bilinear from Trilinear.

You'll hardly notice the difference in quality but you sure will appreciate the extra fps.

That old SoundBlaster might also be causing slowdowns.

      I'll already have bilinear!
But 25,8 fps is slow isn't it ????

Your not gonna get much sympathy from Murcers. They'll just recommend turning down the details. heh. Nice solution, huh?

Don't listen to Freak. Just do a search of his postings, and you will see that there really is a village out there missing it's idiot.

There must be something going on with your system, I get better performance than that with a 16Mb G400.
