VESA graphics game in Windows 2000

I'm trying to play an older DOS game in Windows 2000. It installs fine but it tells me that it can't find a VESA driver on my system.
How can I fix that and install a VESA driver in Windows 2000?

Vesa requires direct hardware access, that is not possible in NT/2000. You will have to make a separate DOS partition to boot from, or perhaps just a FAT partition and boot with a floppy or cd.
