    G400 + Win2k - Counter-Strike Probs

    Hi

Right kinda strange problem. Firstly, what I'm running.

    Dual Celeron 550,
    G400 32 meg
    Win2k +sp1
    5.11 beta G400 drivers for win2k

    Ok the problem:

The only game I play is Counter-Strike. I recently upgraded from win98 to 2000. The first problem I got was when running CS in DirectX 1024x768 it insists on running at 60Hz (owww),instead of the normal 75Hz. So I put it down to 800x600 which it insists on running in 56Hz (OWWWWWW). I felt this was fiarly odd. Also sometimes when a game fails to connect, it goes to a black screen, and I have to press the shortcut keys to get back to the welcome screen before I get Picture back.

    So...

I decided to try OpenGL mode, but according to Counter-Strike, my video card does not support OpenGL (?!?!?!).

Ok, so can any one help me here? have I missed a setting out? has anyone had the same problems?

Also, I forgot to add. Make sure your desktop is set to 16 bit or 32 bit. Also, go to your HL folder and make sure there is no opengl32.dll in any of those folders. If there is, delete it.
