Gaming w/voodoo in UT - special jumps?

I just read on another board that in UT, there are special jumps that you can only do if you can get your fps above some number (125 or something).

Someone said that it's a bone thrown to Voodoo users or something...

Is there any way the fps your getting could limit what the engine is able to do?

Doesn't seem like it makes any sense to me.

    Thoughts?

I wouldn't say that too soon.

In q3a you can do much higher (rocket-) jumps with higher fps, and that is a fact. Don't know about UT though
